In Boletín de la Computación we know that one of the main needs of the Mexican IT Market is to know itself to be able to take the correct course and arrive successful at its destiny, and the two market research that we developed every year, since more than 15 years, are our contribution for this self-knowledge.
Fortunately, we have all the elements to realize a reliable research, because we have the largest, updated and purified Reseller’s database of the whole country; our research team have a deep and mature methodological experience and watch every step and every procedure are executed with absolute scientific rigor; we count with the confidence of the Reseller’s, and finally, they fill in the survey that we required for generate the results and final conclusions, and finally, also we have the confidence of the market who guarantees the results of our research and uses it for his decision making.
Assuming this responsibility and this commitment, we are showing ours second research of year 2008, the Top Brands in the Mexican IT Market in which are involved more than 250 brands of 42 product lines. The survey was applied during the two first weeks of June 2008 by e-mail and answered for more than 2,015 Reseller’s who represent the 10.57% of its whole universe.
We have decided to advance the application and publication of the on line research, anticipating us a pair of months to the traditional calendar. This decision was make in order to give a best service to the directors who take decisions, because we assumed that, showed in the middle of the year, the results will be more useful in compare with the last quarter of the year.
For the on line publication, we are publishing a totally complete version with the results of 3 stratifications (Country, Areas and State) with the purpose of the analysts count on all the information they require to obtain the last drop of this benefit. In the printed version we are preparing a small circulation which will not circulate massively and will contain only 2 stratifications (Country and Areas) and in each question we will show a Top 20 for the Country stratification and a Top 10 for the Area stratification. Obviously, the printed version is only a reference point and will be necessary consult the on line research when will be necessary a deeper analysis.
The publication format of the on line results constitutes an accessible platform which don’t hide anything and represents a never ending source of information for the experts in statistic analysis. We have planned, applied, analyzed and published the information, focused in the intention to provide to the market a true tool of work for cultivate and enrich the enterprise competitivity and productivity.
Like in every research we realized, the participation of the Reseller’s has been successful, those 2,015 generous participants who without objection gave us their information and their time to answer and send the survey which was used for the information storing. Thanks to them, the market have this valuable tool and our obligation is express our deep gratitude to them.
