“Boletín de la Computación” has been carrying out market researches within the Mexican IT Market for more than 15 years. During the first 10 years, results of our researches were useful in order to advise our announcers regarding their commercial decision making. In 2003, we decided to share our results with all the market, as the existing marketing information was poor and was obtained with any rigor on the method or based on a large and refined resellers’ database supporting total credibility. We had everything to contribute to such information and we did it well. Since then, we have been making researches twice a year. In the first research of the year we gather information in order to outline THE STRUCTURE OF IT RESELLERS IN MEXICO and show POSITIONING OF MEXICAN Distributors. In the second research of the year we gather and publish BRANDS POSITIONING competing in the information technology market.

In this research, the second one of 2007, we share the results we have obtained using a scheme involving more than 200 brands and 35 products. It was carried out during the second and third weeks of July by e-mail and it was answered by 1861 resellers which constitute 11.43%
of the sector.

This research, as the previous ones, was planned, carried out, analyzed and edited in order to obtain and share information to provide support for decision makers in daily, medium and long term planning. Our vision when carrying this out was based on our desire to provide the market with a work tool which fosters and enriches entrepreneurial competitiveness and productivity.
